rain, rain, go the fuck away.

i fished the river yesterday and did very well with another river slam of walleye, smallmouth, striped bass and catfish. we landed a beautiful smallmouth over 3lbs on a rat-l-trap and then the rains came, what else is new. this morning the river was up a little bit and a tad muddier but i gave it another go.

on the first cast i hooked into what i assumed was the smallmouth of a lifetime. the fish inhaled my rat-l-trap and i could do little more than hold on as he made multiple scorching runs while i was on a fast drift. 10 minutes later i was shocked to see a 26 inch striper in my net, the biggest bass i've ever caught in the river during the dog days of summer.

we went on to catch a dozen beautiful smallies until.....it started raining again. we just can't seem to put together a whole week without rain this summer.

Check out David Clark's 6.35 lb Smallmouth Bass, our new leader in the Brownie troop Bass Derby. This fish is almost as big as the fish leading in the Largemouth Category. Helluva fish David! If you haven't signed up for our Bass Derby there is still plenty of time. Details can be found at brownietroop.ning.com -Mickey

Whoa, so we have changed the interface of the website a little. Now we have the ability to embed youtube clips up in here. Pretty cool. All of the older posts are still viewable by clicking the menu on the left. Here's like, a picture or something.

Anyway, we have been catching a lot of Sharks from the surf this week, between me and my friends we have landed over 50 Brown Sharks and Dusky Sharks.
