I just got back from spending Xmas in Key West and the fishing down there was completely epic. The whole thing was filmed the next installment of the Brownie Troop Fishing Show, which hasn't aired in quite some time. All that aside, this one one of the best fishing trips of my life, over the course of 2 days I caught more than 10 Blackfin Tuna, 2 dozen Kingfish, Wahoo, etc. My arms are still sore almost a week later. wait til you see this footage. For now, here's a little taste of what I caught down there:
2009 was a great year for me, I probably spent 200 days on the water this year and caught a lot of nice fish and met a lot of great people. Thanks to everyone who booked charters with me.

Happy holidays
This is the view from my front door this morning. that usually means that Striper season is officially over and it's time for a long break from the water. It really sucks. I will be fishing for Blackfin Tuna in Key West three days from now though, if any of you guys live down in the Keys and can lend me some local knowledge I would appreciate it. hell, if you even know anyone down there that likes to fish please drop me a line.

This is what my truck looks like. I'll probably clean it out this weekend until
Spring.
I finally have a nice looking website in place for my Guide Service courtesy of Brownie Trooper Zak Pine. My 2010 schedule and rates are available on the site. A guided fishing trip makes a perfect gift for a friend or a loved one. Thanks to all those who fished with me this year, it was a very good year on the water.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THIS YEAR'S BASS DERBY WINNERS!
The first Brownie Troop Bass Derby is now officially in the books. I had a great time competing in this year's tournament and I hope everyone else did as well. Next year we will definitely be hosting another 2 tournaments, and we will absolutely ressurect the Trash Fish Derby, which seems to be the crowd favorite. Thanks very much to Greg Kondak at Shimano for donating the prizes for this years derby. And now, here are this year's winners:
David Clark with his monster 6.35 lb. Smallmouth Bass that won the Smallmouth category. This fish was trolled up in the legendary Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee on 8/16. A lot of people fished hard in the smallmouth division (me included) but David was the only person to crack the 6lb mark. A gorgeous fish for sure. Dave's fish won him a Shimano Sahara/Compre spinning combo courtesy of Shimano American Fishing Corporation.
Brian Behne with his 6.96 lb. Largemouth Bass caught in Colorado on 6/07. Again, I know a lot of people that tried like hell to make a run at this fish on private ponds and lakes, but this fish proved to be too much. All of the top three Largemouth in this division were taken in Colorado, not what I expected, guess I'll have to do some fishing out there sometime. Brian won a Shimano Citica/Compre Casting combo for his trophy Bass.
Thanks to everyone who competed in this years Derby and again to our sponsors.
